Best laid plans always come together, or not.
I think we all suffer from time to time, yet we seem not to learn. The other day I was looking for something that I likely “put in a good place” for safe keeping. This is a fatal mistake that normally requires one to go out and buy a new one.
Not sure what it is about Mr. Murphy and his magic wand, but whenever the thought enters my head that I should put something somewhere, the item becomes lost forever. It seemed so logical and right at the time to put that thing away right there. But alas, no matter what you try, there is no finding it later.
This time, I though I would check to make sure I wasn’t loosing my mind. I remembered having ordered several of these PIR motion sensors some time ago, so why not take a look on Amazon? Sure enough, I had ordered a batch of 5 last year. Knowing I only used one of these, there has to be 4 somewhere, I thought. It took two days to go through likely hiding places. On the second or third round of searching, I became a bit more thorough. Not only did I check the baskets of stuff, but started to go through even the smallest boxes as well. Sure enough… there they were packed nicely in a small box so I wouldn’t loose them. Uh huh.
I have since decided to make make every effort to say no to those urges to put things away.
